The 5 Must-Have Plugins Every Minecraft Server Needs

You've Got the Server, Now Give It Superpowers
If you've chosen Paper as your server engine on Mineando (great choice!), you now have access to the vast world of plugins. Unlike mods, plugins don't require your friends to install anything on their computers; you just install them on the server, and you're good to go.
But with thousands of options out there, where do you start? Here are the "Fab Five" that 99% of professional servers install right away.
1. EssentialsX (The Survival Kit)
It’s impossible to imagine a server without it. It adds over 100 basic commands that make life easier:
- /sethome and /home: So players can save their base locations.
- /tpa: To request a teleport to a friend.
- /spawn: To return to the starting point.
- /kit: To give starting tools to newcomers.
2. CoreProtect (The "Undo" Button)
Every admin's nightmare: someone joins and burns down a house or steals from chests. CoreProtect is your insurance policy.
- What does it do? It logs every single block broken or placed.
- The magic: If someone griefs your lobby, just type
/co rollback t:1h r:20and the server will "rewind" that area to its state from an hour ago. Griefing is no longer a problem!
3. LuckPerms (Control Who’s in Charge)
You don't want everyone to have admin permissions, right? LuckPerms is the modern standard for managing ranks.
- Create groups like "Admin", "VIP", or "Player".
- Decide which commands each group can use.
- It features a very intuitive web editor so you don't have to wrestle with configuration files.
4. WorldEdit (Build Like a God)
If you're going to build a lobby, a PVP arena, or a city, placing blocks one by one is prehistoric.
- With WorldEdit's "wooden axe," you can select massive areas and fill them, create spheres, copy and paste entire buildings, or flatten mountains in seconds.
- Note: Use it carefully! Making massive changes consumes a lot of RAM (perfect for our 8GB or 12GB plans!).
5. SkinsRestorer (Say Goodbye to Steves!)
If your server allows "non-premium" (offline mode) players, you'll notice many appear with the default Steve or Alex skin. It’s boring and confusing.
- This plugin restores skins visually so everyone looks the way they should, regardless of which launcher they use.
How to Install Them on Mineando
It’s ridiculously easy:
- Download the plugin's
.jarfile (always from SpigotMC or official sites). - In the Mineando panel, go to the File Manager.
- Enter the
pluginsfolder. - Drag and drop the file there and restart the server.
Conclusion
A "Vanilla" server is fine, but a server with these 5 plugins is a professional experience. Improve gameplay, protect your hard work, and manage your community like a pro.
